I know what it’s like to put yourself last.
Growing up in a military household, I learned how to put a shadow over my needs from a very young age. As the oldest child of three, I was expected to figure things out for myself and step up to care for my younger siblings. As I grew older, I continued to serve others’ needs over my own, eventually joining the U.S. Air Force where I continued to serve selflessly.
I wasn’t necessarily unhappy with my life. But I didn’t feel any sense of deeper fulfillment or joy, either. It felt more like I was going through the motions and managing my day-to-day responsibilities. But, at that point, I had become an expert at quieting my desire for more.

I was a 32-year-old mom of two toddlers when I received the dreaded knock on the door. My husband had been killed in action. Suddenly, I was a widow struggling with agonizing grief, loss, and heartache while needing to maintain a safe and loving home for our children. My world was completely shattered, but I also knew I needed to find hope in what lay ahead for me and my family.
I’d be lying if I didn’t say this tragedy was a big part of my story—but I also knew it wasn’t my entire story. I put my trust in God’s plan and found hope and strength in my struggles in order to see where they would take me.
They brought me down the path that led me here.
I know what it’s like to put yourself last.

We are led to believe that it’s wrong to listen to our own desires and put our needs first. If it’s not our children, it’s our partner, family, friends, or community. I’m here to tell you it’s time to turn inward to honor your God-given gifts and discover the purpose He has in store for you.
Why? You must be in alignment with truth, passion, and purpose before you can feel the full weight of joy.
After years as a Marriage and Family Therapist, I knew it was time to embrace my next chapter and step into my calling as a Confidence Catalyst, Joy Cultivator, and Purpose Coach for faith-led women in their midlife.
It’s my God-given gift and purpose to let my story and life experiences help me guide others like you to step into their light and find joy in their life.
I’ve never felt more full of joy or in alignment with my calling. I no longer stay in the shadows, but proudly proclaim my purpose, and I would be honored to help you do the same.
